IMCU Registered Nurse
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) . The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing medically complex patients requiring close monitoring and specialized treatments.
Assignment Details
- Unit: IMCU
- Unit Size: 16–10 beds
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Contract: 48 hours
- Start Date: ASAP
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
Patient Population
Common patient conditions include:
- Sepsis
- Heart failure
- Hypertensive emergencies
- Respiratory failure
- COPD
- Chronic kidney disease
- Type 2 Diabetes (T2DM)
- Substance abuse
- Encephalopathy
Clinical Skills
- Experience managing Heparin drips
- Ability to care for high-acuity patients requiring close monitoring
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to respond effectively to changes in patient condition
Required Certifications
- BLS
