CT Technologist

Overview Allied Health Professional — CT Technologist. Onsite contract located in Kenner, LA. Duration: 13 weeks. Shift: Day shift, 12-hour days, 3 days per week. Compensation includes weekly stipends ($1,491) and hourly base pay ($21–$24). Responsibilities Operate the radiology/fluoroscopy equipment in the heart catheterization laboratory to obtain diagnostic images and support procedures. Monitor patient vitals and assist the physician during procedures as requested. Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patient for procedures; ensure safety and sterility standards are maintained. Maintain documentation in the procedure log to reflect accurate interventions for billing and record-keeping. Perform quality control checks on fluoroscopy equipment and ensure safe radiation delivery to patients and staff. Transmits, archives, and retrieves digital images in PACS; comply with regulatory requirements and hospital policies. Adhere to privacy, consent, and patient communication standards; adapt explanations to diverse patient populations. Remain knowledgeable about current federal, state, and local radiation standards and hospital compliance programs. Perform other related duties as assigned and participate in a multidisciplinary team. Qualifications Education : Required – Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences; Preferred – Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences. Experience : Required – 2 years of experience as an allied health professional. Certifications : Required – Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the AHA; Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and ARRT registration. KSAs : Proficient with computer systems, data entry, and Windows applications. Effective verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to detect equipment malfunctions and manage hazardous tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and adapt to diverse patient populations. Knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory radiation requirements. Flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed. Physical and Environmental Demands Medium work; lifting and moving objects as part of patient care and equipment setup.
