The Machinist Technician I supports manufacturing operations by setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC and conventional machining equipment. This position produces quality parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and established processes while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC and/or conventional machining equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions. Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and height gauges. Perform basic machine adjustments and tool changes. Inspect parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality requirements. Identify machining issues and communicate problems to supervisors or experienced machinists. Perform basic troubleshooting and routine machine maintenance. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic knowledge of machining principles and manufacturing processes. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.Previous machining or manufacturing experience preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
