Bread Ahead is coming to New York. We're looking for an exceptional Shop Manager to lead our first Manhattan bakery and introduce one of London's most-loved bakery brands to a new community.More than a bakery, Bread Ahead is a place where people connect over exceptional food, genuine hospitality and a shared love of baking. The Role

As Shop Manager, you'll be responsible for creating a bakery that local residents return to again and again. You'll lead the front-of-house operation, develop a fantastic team, deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive the commercial success of the bakery. Most importantly, you'll become the face of Bread Ahead within the Upper East Side community.

What You'll Be Doing

Deliver Outstanding Hospitality

Create memorable customer experiences every day.Build relationships with regular guests, neighbours and local businesses. Handle customer feedback with professionalism and care.Lead peak trading periods from the front.

Lead an Exceptional Team

Recruit, train and develop retail team members. Create a motivating, supportive and inclusive workplace culture. Run regular coaching, briefings and performance conversations. Schedule and manage labour effectively.

Grow the Business

Deliver sales and profitability targets. Manage stock, ordering, inventory and waste. Monitor labour and operating costs. Support local marketing initiatives and partnerships. Identify opportunities to increase customer frequency and sales.

Protect the Brand

Maintain exceptional store standards and beautifully presented displays. Uphold food safety and compliance procedures. Champion the Bread Ahead story and values in every interaction.
