Finance and Cost Analyst - SAP S/4HANA

Overview Position: Finance and Cost Analyst - SAP S/4HANA Industry: Manufacturing (Food manufacturing is a plus) We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial & Cost Analyst to play a critical role in supporting our Finance organization through a 2.5-year SAP S/4HANA implementation , while maintaining operations within our legacy Microsoft Dynamics environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dual-system environment, has strong hands-on SAP expertise, and brings deep experience in manufacturing cost accounting and inventory management. Following the successful SAP implementation, this role is expected to transition into a permanent position within the Finance organization. Responsibilities Operational Accounting & Close Prepare and review inventory and overhead-related journal entries Perform inventory reconciliations, transaction reviews, and reserve analysis Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Ensure data accuracy between SAP S/4HANA and Microsoft Dynamics during parallel operations Maintain and analyze product costing and pricing models Perform standard cost updates, variance analysis, and margin reporting Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to identify cost drivers and improvements Inventory Accounting Oversee inventory transactions, reserves, and adjustments Analyze slow-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory Ensure compliance with GAAP for inventory valuation and reporting SAP S/4HANA Implementation Serve as a Finance SME during SAP S/4HANA implementation Participate in UAT, data validation, and system cutover activities Support development of future-state finance and inventory processes Document process flows and accounting procedures Reporting & Analysis Develop and maintain financial and operational reports Perform variance analysis and deliver actionable insights Support leadership with reporting during system transition Regulatory Compliance (TTB) Prepare and submit TTB drawback and excise tax claims Ensure compliance with Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau regulations Support audits and regulatory inquiries Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 10+ years of accounting/finance experience Strong experience in inventory accounting within a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) Experience working in dual ERP environments (SAP + Microsoft Dynamics or similar) Advanced Excel skills: Macros and complex formulas Preferred Experience in food & beverage or regulated manufacturing industries Prior involvement in SAP implementation or finance transformation projects Experience with TTB compliance and reporting What We’re Looking For Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to manage high-volume accounting work during system transformation Effective communicator who can work cross-functionally Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Amtec Staffing
