Quality Specialist (Laser Tracker) Location: Briggs, TX 78608 US (100% Onsite) Cimarron is seeking a Quality Specialist (Laser Tracker) to support our partnership with a commercial aerospace company at their rocket production facility in Briggs, TX. The Quality Specialist is responsible for inspection and acceptance of qualification and flight hardware and software products, verifying that all key performance and design characteristics are met prior to launch. Quality Specialists play a critical role in ensuring mission success. Key Duties: Develop and execute detailed inspection programs (Zeiss Calypso) to assure adherence to design, specification, and testing requirements, ensuring all actions required for product acceptance are conducted accurately and efficiently. Perform inspections on launch vehicle/spacecraft components and sub‑assemblies using advanced metrology equipment (Zeiss CMM). Maintain tool control and calibration processes within the assigned work center, including validation of metrology systems. Participate in technical operations and provide guidance or serve as an additional technical resource. Initiate and execute plans to improve product quality and inspection efficiency. Apply 5S workplace organization and follow Lean initiatives. Support manufacturing compliance with customer and internal specifications to meet contractual and mission requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Only U.S. citizens or permanent residents are eligible for consideration at this time. 4 or more years of hands‑on experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment. Demonstrated ability to read technical information, follow technical instructions, and understand technical drawings, specifications, GD&T, and related quality control documentation and standards. Experience with standards and/or equivalent quality, military, or government standards in the aerospace industry. Strong interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication. Flexibility regarding workflow and process. Excellent organization skills and willingness to work with a team, share expertise, and follow instructions to accomplish established goals. High school diploma or equivalency certificate. Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: Associate degree or higher in quality, engineering, or a related technical discipline. Software experience in PC‑DMIS or Inspire. ASME Y14.5 Professional or Technologist certification. Demonstrated experience applying quality assurance principles, methods, and processes—including inspection techniques, equipment, and tools used in quality control. Comprehensive understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications. Demonstrated experience with application of aerospace quality standards, such as AS9100 or ISO 9001.
