Wanted: Home Health Aides & Personal Care Assistants.

We are looking for individuals to help care for local elderly clients, one‑on‑one, in their homes. Most clients need help with day‑to‑day tasks such as grocery shopping, running errands, housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation, and some require more intimate assistance with showering and toileting. Hours and clients will be based on your availability, skill, and comfort level.

Job Title: Caregiver (various titles such as Granny Nanny, Elderly BFF, etc.).

Location: Throughout the Chagrin Valley (Solon, Chagrin Falls, Orange, Russell, Bainbridge, Pepper Pike, etc.).

Pay

4–12 hour shifts: $16.00 per hour to start. $1–$2 pay differential for short shifts (2–3 hour length). Numerous ways to advance and increase earnings.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily activities and activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.) while maintaining dignity and comfort.
• Provide companionship, active listening, and emotional support to clients and their families.
• Prepare meals or assist with meal preparation.
• Help with household chores and errand running.
• Maintain a positive, supportive, and respectful environment.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle. Must be willing to drive up to 30 minutes to clients’ homes.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Excellent communication skills with active listening and empathy.
• Understanding of the unique needs of patients and families at the end of life.
• Capability to find humor and maintain a positive attitude.
• Preferred: State‑Tested Nursing Aid (STNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Medical Assistant (MA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), nursing student, retired nurse, or others with a desire to learn and become a professional caregiver.
• Open to anyone with a heart and desire to care for others willing to learn and develop professionally.
