What You Will Do:

The Custom Air Handling Unit Project Engineer is a recognized subject matter expert and authority at the Business Unit (BU) or site. Performs a full range of field commercial and technical support functions including assignments requiring special qualifications/attainments. Applicants must be within a commutable distance from York, PA. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.

How You Will Do It:

  Provide commercial, competitive, and technical application support to the field sales organization on all aspects of Custom and Standard Air Handling Units with just general direction.

\n
• \n

  Works with a small team of technical employees to provide articulate resolutions to the field selling organization requests for AHU project support with a strong emphasis on Basis of Design.

\n
• \n

  Provide application training and Project Management, as required, on Air Handling Systems for the field sales organization.

\n
• \n

  Support Customer Visits (factory tours) as necessary.

\n
• \n

  Participate in testing of AHU selection and pricing software.

\n
• \n

  Work with the Field Sales organization, manufacturing, engineering, and Customer Service to resolve Air Handling Unit order issues.

\n
• \n

  Work with engineering to develop cost effective resolutions to unique Air Handling Unit applications.

\n
• \n

  Assist Airside Technical Service with field application issues as necessary.

\n
• \n

  Develop technical documents to support field sales on various areas of air handling application as necessary.

\n
• \n

  Work with Product Management and Marketing to develop selection and pricing software requirements as necessary.

\n
• \n

  Determine best techniques/procedures/theories and apply them to analysis, design and/or research of air handling products.

\n
• \n

  Use complex problem-solving techniques requiring regular use of ingenuity and creativity.

\n
• \n

  Review and analyze engineering rules and documents as necessary.

\n
• \n

  Recommend cost savings and value engineering alternatives for Air Handling Units and systems.

\n
• \n

  Provide technical direction for other engineers, drafters or technicians on specific work assignments.

\n
• \n

  Be proficient at preparing, checking, and coordinating the release of documentation to support Custom Air Handling products.

\n
• \n

  Be proficient and extrapolating ideas into product requirements and apply the philosophy of concurrent engineering with manufacturing process.

\n
• \n

  Conduct feasibility studies and systems analysis for new applications as necessary.

\n
• \n

  Strive for continuous improvement and teamwork in product development and processes.

\n
• \n

  Acts as a mentor and role model for less experienced Project Engineers.

\n

What We Look For:

• \n

  BS degree in Engineering (ABET accredited) or related science.

\n
• \n

  Minimum of 6 years’ experience in related field.

\n
• \n

  Understanding of business principles for the business unit.

\n
• \n

  Good communicator on multiple engineering disciplines.

\n
• \n

  Excellent project management skills.

\n

SALARY RANGE : $89,000 - $149,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance.  This position includes a competitive benefits package.
