Project Engineer II

Project EngineerOscar Renda Contracting, Inc., a Southland Company, seeks a Project Engineer II in Grapevine, TX (this is an in-office position) responsible for coordinating and managing various aspects of planning and execution of water and wastewater treatment plants, pipeline and pump stations construction projects. Specific duties include: (i) reviewing submittals, RFI's, reports, work plans and maintaining Submittal and RFI logs; (ii) coordinating with Owner and Engineers to ensure timely material and equipment approvals for assigned phases of work; (iii) assisting in planning means and methods and coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers; (iv) drafting and reviewing subcontracts, purchase orders, and engineering service agreements; (v) performing quantity takeoffs and preparing coordination drawings; (vi) maintaining CPM schedule, monitoring lead times, and supporting deliveries of scheduled materials and equipment; (vii) assisting with project closeout documentation; (viii) assisting with coordination of startup and commissioning activities; and (ix) assisting with change orders.Must have a bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in a related position. In the alternative, will accept a master's degree in one of the above noted fields plus two (2) years of experience in a related position.Must have any experience with or knowledge of: (i) Bluebeam Revu and Primavera P6; (ii) analyzing and interpreting contract specifications, drawings, and project schedules; (iii) contract procedures and principles; (iv) reviewing submittals and shop drawings; (v) preparing subcontracts and purchase orders; (vi) water and wastewater treatment plant projects; (vii) Estimation including Quantity takeoffs and Pricing; (viii) Startup and Commissioning plans and coordination; and (ix) working with Subcontractor and suppliers.Must be willing to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post offer drug test. Experience can be concurrent.
