Used under license.QualificationsEDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES / REGISTRATIONS REQUIREDGraduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN programMust successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).BLS from the American Heart Association (or obtained during orientation) and maintain certification throughout employmentCurrent state nursing license or permit to practice nursing in the State of Texas.De-escalation training within 90 days of hire; does not require maintainingOngoing compliance with demonstration of clinically pertinent competencies as determined by the facility.ACCS:Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.CCRN, TNCC and Cardiovascular certification preferred for specialty units.100% score on medication test – employee will have two chances to pass exam with remediation material available.ACLS completion within three (3) months after hire or promotion.Must pass EKG, Blood Gas Analysis and BKAT exam with a score of 85% upon completion of didactic/computer orientation program – employee will have two chances to pass exams with remediation material available.Satisfactory return demonstration of competencies required for critical care specific processes and equipment.
