Our St. Paul float team is an integral part of nursing services and provides a valuable resource to the entire Children's Minnesota St. Paul Campus. Float team members apply skills in a number of areas and are extremely knowledgeable, resourceful and flexible with the care they provide and units they support. Our nursing care team consists of registered nurses, clinical support associates and unit operations coordinators. RNs hired into this area would support all medical surgical areas as well have the option of choosing the NICU or the PICU track (including the ED and PACU), while Unit Operations Coordinators and Clinical Support Associates hired into this area would support all the areas in the hospital on the St Paul campus.

Position Summary: Provides safe patient care as delegated by licensed nursing staff and maintains equipment and supplies per unit standard. Completed a nursing assistant course or equivalent experience, or completed a nursing or health care related clinical practicum course. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Education *High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience *One year of previous Nursing Assistant experience or equivalent experience preferred. Skills and Abilities *Proficient communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills required. *Strong organizational skills. *Excellent customer service skills. *Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English to perform functions of the position. *Skills in basic computer operation.

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs. In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
