Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 26-bed Intermediate Care unit serving adult acute care patients requiring a higher level of monitoring and intervention than a general medical-surgical floor
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias; manage dysrhythmias and participate in Rapid Response and Code team activations
• Manage peripheral IV therapy, phlebotomy, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated medicated IV infusions
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen, non-invasive airway management, and acute BIPAP support
• Maintain continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring for all assigned patients; adhere to isolation precautions as required
• Float to other units as needed and adapt quickly within a multidisciplinary care team

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN license — must be in hand at time of submission, no exceptions
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in IMC, PCU, Stepdown, or Medical-Surgical setting
• Ability to manage a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio in a MedSurg/stepdown environment
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records — hard requirement
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response protocols

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience receiving patients from the Emergency Department, PACU, ICU, or medical-surgical floors
• Familiarity with care of patients on BIPAP, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions
• First-time travelers are accepted for this assignment
