This role requires expertise in managing complex surgical procedures and collaborating effectively within a critical care team.Job Details\n \n Unit Type: Cardio OR (Cardiovascular Operating Room)\n Shift Length: 12 hours\n Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week\n Average Number of Cases per Day: 30 (including 1-2 open heart procedures)\n Required Qualifications\n \n Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role\n Current BLS certification (AHA)\n ACLS certification preferred\n Experience with open heart and/or endovascular cases\n Ability to scrub and assist with surgeries\n Unit Information\n \n Number of OR Suites: 16, with 3 dedicated to CVOR\n Common Procedures: Open heart surgeries, TAVR, open/endovascular, thoracic procedures\n EMR System: Epic\n Shifts and Scheduling\n \n Standard Shift Hours: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (negotiable)\n Weeknight Call Requirements: One weekday per week\n Weekend Call Requirements: One weekend per month (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, in rotation with staff)\n Floating Requirements: May require floating to General OR if no CVOR cases are available; potential to float within Zone 1 as needed\n Orientation and Training\n New hires will undergo a comprehensive one-week orientation program.
