Maintenance TechnicianMaintenance technicians provide technical support, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and rebuild machines, perform preventative maintenance duties as assigned, and respond to breakdowns professionally and on time while following all safety protocols. Working knowledge of Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems.Position Responsibilities: May include:Repair, maintain, and rebuild all production equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsCoordinate maintenance processes with the production department in a way in which the production output and packaging is least affectedRespond to calls from production and management to make repairsPerform established preventative maintenance programsAssist with all aspects of new equipment installationAssist management with scheduling maintenance projectsMaintain accurate and complete departmental recordsRecord all work in Fiix CMMSRead and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/schematicsEnsure all equipment adheres to all applicable safety requirementsFollow all safety protocols and maintain good 6S housekeeping standardsWork with contractors as neededPerform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needsNature of Scope: Works within well-defined instructions Uses established procedures and works under supervision to perform assigned tasks. Work is closely supervised.Knowledge and Skills:Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics (know symbols)Able to mentor and train Technicians 1 and 2In-depth knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsAbility to understand relay logicAbility to perform major electrical repairsFamiliarity with the National Electrical CodeAble to design and implement equipment improvementsAble to troubleshoot PLC systems to component levelAble to download or upload PLC programsAble to change and program drives and HMIsStrong knowledge of Allen Bradley and Omron programsAble to select replacement parts for obsolete componentsAble to make changes to programs when neededAble to perform PMs on all equipmentAble to write PMsAble to lead, critique, and improve KaizensAble to champion, guide, and present 6s projectsParticipate in regular 6s activitiesAble and willing to correct PPE violations when seen and report continued violations to leadsAbility to identify safety hazards and implement corrective actionsAll prior knowledge and skills requirements for lower levels of technicianAbility to apply good judgment, strong work ethics, and integrity on the jobExperience: 5+ years of experience in: Industrial maintenance Pneumatic and hydraulic systems DC drives, servos, solenoids, photo eyes, relays, limit switches, and electric motors PLC systems, preferably Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Direct LogicEducation/Certifications: High school diploma or GED Associates degree in electrical or mechanical field or graduation from a trade school, any certifications are a plus, preferred but not mandatoryPhysical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations High volume manufacturing environment with forklift traffic. May have higher noise volume in areas – hearing protection required. Requires ability to stand for long periods up to 8 to 10 hrs. May need to lift up to 40lbs.
