Tax Senior Associate - Not for Profit

Overview Baker Tilly is a leading advisory, tax and assurance firm that serves clients across the United States and globally. This role is for a Tax Senior Associate on the NFP (Not For Profit) team based in Los Angeles, focusing on industry‑specific tax advisory and compliance services. Responsibilities Act as a trusted member of the engagement team, providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to S‑corporations, partnerships, individuals and corporations ranging from middle‑market to multinational companies. Participate in tax research projects on a variety of tax issues, drafting IRS responses and addressing other tax authority inquiries. Collaborate with leaders on special projects in corporate and flow‑through taxation, including accounting methods and ASC740. Develop recommendations for clients, presenting and discussing strategies with leadership. Communicate and collaborate with specialty tax practices on complex state, local, high‑net‑worth, international, research and development, and incentive matters. Learn and grow through on‑the‑job coaching, mentoring, and firm‑wide learning and development programs. Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally and with clients. Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals. Qualifications 4‑year degree; CPA, Law license, or Enrolled Agent qualified. Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing NFP or corporate tax compliance and consulting services in a public accounting firm. Demonstrated skills in time management, communication, interpersonal relationships, collaboration, and problem solving. Strong leadership, project management, organizational and analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite. Eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship is preferred. Compensation & Benefits Annual compensation ranges from $85,500 to $108,420, varying by location.
