RN – Cath Lab

Location: Dayton, OH

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Days | 4×10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 5:30 PM) | On-call required: once weekly (5:30 PM – 7:00 AM) and every 4th weekend (Saturday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM); potential for one holiday on-call (24 hours)

Key Responsibilities: Perform advanced cardiac cath, peripheral angiography, electrophysiologic studies, therapeutic interventional procedures, and cardiac device implantation procedures. Provide peri-procedural care and patient education across a high-acuity, Level 3 Cath Lab environment seeing approximately 20 patients per day across 7 labs. Assist cardiologists and other specialists during diagnostic and interventional procedures including structural heart procedures (Watchman, TAVR, MitraClip). Support EP lab procedures including pacemaker device implantation, ablations, and ICD insertions. Maintain accurate records and documentation for all procedures performed. Float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliated facility based on skill set and census needs — candidates must be comfortable floating with no restrictions.

Required Qualifications: Active RN license (any state) or valid compact RN license required; candidates with any past license disciplinary action will not be considered. Minimum 1 year of cardiac cath lab experience required. Epic EMR proficiency required. Lab work and EKG/Dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract. Maximum of 14 days of requested time off (RTO) per contract; RTO and schedule requests must be submitted at time of application and will not be negotiated after an offer is made. Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted.

Preferred Experience / Skills: Electrophysiology (EP) experience, including pacemaker devices, ablations, and ICD insertions. Experience with MacLab hemodynamic recording system. Familiarity with structural heart procedures (Watchman, TAVR, MitraClip).
