Senior Manager, Field Medical, MD

Role Responsibilities Plan and execute medical strategy and customer engagement in assigned VA/NC/SC territory, coordinating with cross‑functional teams. Maintain deep therapeutic area/disease state knowledge; deliver truthful, balanced, scientifically supported information for unsolicited HCP requests per Pfizer policies and regulatory requirements. Share medical/customer insights to inform medical strategy, content, and execution; identify gaps between evidence‑based care and real‑world practice. Present and communicate via live/virtual and written formats; optimize patient centricity using health literacy and cultural awareness. Deliver approved medical content; identify and engage HCPs and organized customers (medical groups, IDNs, payers). Manage inbound medical inquiries via triage; support ISR lifecycle; partner to identify sites/investigators for clinical trials. Cultivate expertise (literature, competitors, congresses); understand study design/methodology/data interpretation. Engage patient advocacy organizations; serve on committees; use digital tools to document interactions. Basic Qualifications MD degree required. 0+ years relevant experience in clinical practice/research/health services research/pharma/biotech medical affairs with increasing responsibility. Experience in independent scientific exchange with HCPs; designated therapeutic area experience highly desirable. Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, problem‑solving, adaptability, and digital proficiency. Preferred Qualifications Prior Field Medical or Medical Affairs experience. Familiarity with regulations/codes/guidelines for industry–HCP interactions. Travel/Work Requirements Travel 50–80%; operate Pfizer company car; maintain valid US driver’s license (DUI/DWI in past 7 years disqualifies). Must reside in VA, NC, SC; no relocation.
