Overview The ECC Technician (EMT‑P) demonstrates excellent customer service performance, consistently reflecting the standards in Covenant’s Vision, Mission, and Values and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation. The technician performs technical aspects of patient care as delegated by the RN, following established standards of care, procedures, guidelines, and competencies. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Responsibilities Model Covenant’s Mission, Vision, and Values and its commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation. Perform direct patient care in the Emergency Cardiac Care (ECC) unit. Practice within the scope of practice defined by the State of Michigan and the Saginaw Valley Medical Control Authority. Observe patient vitals during transport. Call code as necessary. Perform patient assessment, including vital signs. Perform IV starts. Operate a cardiac monitor, perform defibrillation, pacing, and rhythm interpretation. Perform airway management as needed. Qualifications Licensed by the State of Michigan – EMT‑P required. Certification of BLS and ACLS required. Two years of experience as an EMT‑P in a pre‑hospital setting preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Computer competency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Sound judgment in handling confidential or sensitive issues and material. Preferred Qualifications Previous hospital experience preferred. Basic computer skills preferred. Working Conditions & Physical Demands Maintain punctual attendance in compliance with ADA, FMLA, and applicable federal, state, and local standards. Constant walking and frequent lifting up to 100 lbs. Frequent standing, pushing, pulling, talking, hearing, and visual tasks (near, midrange, far vision; depth and color perception). Occasional lifting up to 100 or more lbs. Occasional sitting, lifting, carrying, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, twisting, reaching, handling, feeling, tasting/smelling, and visual accommodation. #J-18808-Ljbffr
