MATERIALS HANDLER

Job Title

The duties include:

• Performing materials handling functions of receiving, issuing, storing and segregating ordnance materials including ammunition, explosives and chemical munitions, fuels and missiles.
• Ensuring cargo is secured per military standard loading drawings and procedures.
• Cutting wooden blocks, wedges, bracing structures, and bulkhead per military standards.
• Using information systems and maintaining an accurate inventory of assets.
• Performing ordnance materials handling functions such as receiving, issuing, storing, segregating, selecting, handling, prepping, and processing and shipping inventory.
• Performing receipt inspection per governing directives, providing assurance of quantity of item received and that material is correctly identified and further identifying visual damages, overages, shortages, or other discrepancies.
• Receiving/offloading ordnance materials from trucks, rail cars, vessels, MILVAN's and other conveyances.
