Job Title Referral Coordinator (CPhT) Location CSI Plano, TX (Additional Locations: to be determined) Employee Type & Working Hours Full‑time, 40 hours per week (On‑Site, Monday‑Friday, 8:30am‑5:00pm) Pay Range $26 - $28 per hour (DOE) Overview At CSI Pharmacy, a rapidly growing national specialty pharmacy, the Referral Coordinator gathers and communicates all relative information and preparation instructions to patients and referring providers. The Coordinator obtains prior authorizations, completes benefit requests, and processes pre‑certifications. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate the authorization and pre‑certification process for each assigned referral. Follow up on referral receipts. Process referrals for requested services, ensuring timely and thorough completion. Monitor referral requests for completeness and request additional information when needed. Accurately enter referral or authorization information into the electronic medical record. Send complete information to patient’s insurance and referring specialist to coordinate referral. Handle telephone calls in a friendly, courteous, and sensitive manner. Interact collaboratively with clinical staff, sales team, and insurance team. Ensure referral completes according to department guidelines and within the appropriate timeframe. Make outreach efforts to insurers, patients, specialist offices, and care team as set forth by department guidelines and clinical priorities. Comply with all company policies, instructions, and directives for the fulfillment of company objectives and maximum profitable sales. Complete and submit all required reports in a timely manner. Maintain current files and other records in accordance with company instructions and requirements. Provide high quality services to home‑care patients and home‑care referral sources. Represent the company in a professional manner and maintain effective working relationships with all personnel. Adhere to the company’s compliance requirements as stated in the policy and procedure manual and other related policies. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualification Requirements Valid and active Pharmacy Technician license or willingness to obtain within 90 days. 2 years or more relevant experience. Strong customer service and communication skills required. Ability to multitask in a high‑demand environment. General knowledge/experience with pharmacy payors and medical payors preferred. Specialty home infusion experience (IVIG/SCIG/biologics) preferred but not required. Ability to handle high volume of calls and paperwork. Physical Demands The role requires regular speaking or hearing, standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, using hands and fingers, handling objects, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds. Work Environment The work environment is a clerical office setting using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
