The Allay Group, LLC is a family-owned, full-service disaster recovery contractor specializing in water, fire, mold, storm, and reconstruction services. As a preferred vendor to 150+ insurance carriers, we've built a strong operation-and we've built it differently.

We're looking for another Restoration Project Manager to join our reconstruction team.

But we're not simply looking for someone with "restoration experience."

We're looking for someone who can run construction.

Someone who understands budgets, schedules, subcontractors, scopes, customers, and profitability. Someone with urgency. Someone organized enough to manage multiple moving projects without losing the details. Someone who takes ownership and gets jobs across the finish line. If you already have insurance restoration experience, that's a major advantage.

A Better Model for Project Managers:

At many restoration companies, the PM is expected to estimate the job, negotiate with the carrier, help the customer select flooring and finishes, source materials, schedule trades, manage production, document the file, control the budget, and handle every problem in between.

That's not how we've built Allay:

We have dedicated people and infrastructure supporting our Project Managers so they can focus on what great PMs do best.

Run profitable projects and deliver an excellent finished product.

Dedicated Senior Estimator:

• Our Senior Estimator handles the majority of repair estimating, scoping, and carrier negotiations.
• You'll receive established scopes and budgets so you can focus on production.
• This position will also serve as a backup estimator when needed, so Xactimate, CoreLogic/Symbility, insurance estimating, or strong construction estimating experience is highly valuable.

In-House Flooring & Finish-Material Showroom:

We have our own in-house showroom for flooring and finish-material selections.

That means customers have a dedicated place to make selections while our team maintains better visibility and control over the process.

You're not sending homeowners all over town and hoping selections make their way back to the project.

Dedicated Material Procurement Manager:

Our Material Procurement Manager works directly with customers on finish-material selections and manages procurement.

You'll work closely together to ensure selections, approvals, ordering, lead times, and deliveries stay aligned with your production schedule.

You don't have to own every function-but you are responsible for making sure the pieces come together.

You Own Production: Once a project is handed to you, you own.

• Schedule. Budget. Margin. Subcontractors. Quality. Communication. Completion.
• You aren't being hired to chase flooring samples or spend every day writing estimates.
• You're being hired to run construction.

What You'll Own: You'll manage multiple reconstruction projects from handoff through final completion.

Your responsibilities include:

• Run projects on time, on scope, and at or above targeted margins.
• Review approved scopes and job budgets before production begins.
• Understand where the project makes money-and where it can lose money.
• Build realistic schedules and continuously drive projects forward.
• Read and execute work according to approved Xactimate/CoreLogic scopes.
• Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, material deliveries, selections, and project milestones.
• Work closely with our Material Procurement Manager to keep finish materials aligned with production.
• Identify delays, scope gaps, cost issues, and production problems before they become emergencies.
• Maintain accurate and timely job notes, photos, documentation, and status updates.
• Communicate proactively with homeowners, subcontractors, carrier partners, and internal team members.
• Hold subcontractors accountable for schedule, workmanship, safety, cleanliness, and professionalism.
• Manage change orders and scope discrepancies appropriately.
• Drive punch lists and final completion instead of allowing projects to linger.
• Maintain and develop a strong subcontractor network.
• Help identify and onboard qualified local trades.
• Assist with repair estimating when additional estimating capacity is needed.

Drive projects through final documentation, customer sign-off, and closeout.

Your job is to keep projects moving.

Who We're Looking For:

We're looking for a construction operator, not someone who simply manages a calendar.

You should understand how buildings go together, how trades sequence, how long work should take, what it should cost, and what needs to happen next.

You Have Urgency:

• You don't allow a job to sit for a week because someone hasn't returned your call.

• You drive the project instead of waiting for the project to drive you.

You Know Your Numbers.

You understand:

• Job budgets.
• Subcontractor costs.
• Purchase costs.
• Change orders.
• Gross margin.
• Job profitability.

A Project Manager at Allay isn't simply responsible for getting a project completed.

You're responsible for getting it completed profitably.

You Read the Scope:

This sounds basic.

It isn't.

We expect our PMs to understand what was approved before construction begins, not discover halfway through the job that something wasn't included.

You know your scope, identify discrepancies early, and build what has been agreed upon.

You Know Construction:

You understand construction methods, trade sequencing, quality workmanship, and realistic production timelines.

You don't need to personally perform every trade-but you need enough construction knowledge to recognize when something isn't right.

You're Organized:

• Multiple projects.
• Multiple homeowners.
• Multiple subcontractors.
• Multiple material orders.
• Multiple deadlines.
• You can manage all of it while keeping your documentation and communication current.

You Communicate:

Customers and teammates shouldn't have to chase you to find out what's happening.

You communicate early, clearly, professionally, and consistently.

You Hold People Accountable.

We want strong subcontractor relationships.

We also expect our subcontractors to meet Allay's standards for schedule, workmanship, communication, cleanliness, and professionalism.

You can build relationships without lowering expectations.

You're a Team Player.

Estimating, mitigation, reconstruction, procurement, administration, and production all have to work together.

We want someone who contributes to that team-not someone who operates in a silo.

Restoration Experience Is Valuable-But It's Not Everything

We know something from experience: Years in insurance restoration don't automatically make someone a great Project Manager.

We'll consider high-performing candidates from:

• Insurance restoration and reconstruction.
• General contracting.
• Residential remodeling.
• Custom homebuilding.
• Production homebuilding.
• Multifamily renovation.
• Commercial construction.
• Other construction Project Management backgrounds.

Insurance restoration experience is strongly preferred but not required.

What matters is whether you can demonstrate that you've successfully managed.

Construction. Budgets. Schedules. Subcontractors. Customers. Quality. Profitability.

If you already understand Xactimate, CoreLogic/Symbility, carrier requirements, TPA programs, and insurance-funded reconstruction, you'll have a significant advantage.

If you don't, you need the construction knowledge and aptitude to learn our systems quickly.

Local Market Knowledge Is a Major Plus.

Already established in the Treasure Valley construction market?.

Candidates with existing relationships with quality local subcontractors and trades will have a significant advantage.

If you've spent years building a reliable subcontractor network, we value that.

We want a PM who can strengthen our existing trade base while also bringing qualified subcontractor relationships to Allay and helping onboard them into our operation.

Backup Estimating:

Your primary responsibility is Project Management and production.

Our Senior Estimator will continue handling the majority of repair estimating, scoping, and carrier negotiations.

However, we need another person on our team capable of stepping into estimating when additional capacity is needed.

Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:

• Xactimate.
• CoreLogic/Symbility.
• Insurance repair estimating.
• Construction estimating.
• Scope development.
• Reading detailed carrier-approved estimates.

If you're already a strong insurance restoration estimator who also knows how to run production, we especially want to hear from you.

If you're a strong construction PM without insurance estimating experience, you must have the aptitude and willingness to learn it.

Urgency, ownership, work ethic, construction instincts, financial discipline, organization, and attention to detail are much harder to teach.
