Volunteer Coordinator

Veterans Inc. is seeking a dynamic, hands‑on Volunteer Coordinator to manage our volunteer program. Reporting directly to the Community Engagement Manager, you will drive recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies to optimize volunteer efforts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAY TO DAY:

Recruit and onboard individual and group volunteers through diverse outreach channels and community partnerships. Serve as the primary contact for all volunteers, responding to inquiries, feedback, schedules, and appreciation initiatives. Partner with Marketing and Development to create recruitment collateral and steward corporate, foundation, and individual donors. Manage program data by tracking impact metrics, volunteer hours, and compliance documentation within the Donor Management System. Represent the organization at external community meetings, volunteer fairs, and regional networking events.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, human services, communications, public administration, business administration, social services, or a related field required. Equivalent military experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit administration, community engagement, program coordination, customer service, event coordination, or a related field. Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/Background records check. Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. Religious and Medical Exemptions are considered.
