Summary Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair WRF electrical systems. Minimum Requirements Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship or three (3) years experience as an electrician. High school graduate or equivalent. EEI MASS test administered. Nuclear Requirement Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) and will be expected to fulfill their obligation as an ERO member. This is a condition of employment at PVNGS. Roles and Responsibilities defined in Policy 1503 and implementing policy guide are applicable to all PVNGS employees. Any PVNGS employee may be called upon to support a refueling or short‑notice outage. This includes line roles and responsibilities as necessary to execute outage activities. Major Accountabilities Support activities of other WRF teams and external customers to ensure overall team success. Responsible for troubleshooting control systems to find root cause of problem. Minimize the areas of the plant equipment affected and downtime while making repairs. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment. Work around energized equipment (up to 13.8 kV), hazardous chemicals, temperature extremes, heights and confined spaces. Attend and complete scheduled technical training. Employees are expected to reside in Arizona (or New Mexico for Four Corners‑based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need. Any PVGS employees may be called upon for random Fitness for Duty (FFD) testing during scheduled working hours. Employees, if off‑site, must report to FFD at Palo Verde as soon as reasonably practicable, but no more than 120 minutes after being notified.
