The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation seeks General Physiatrists to join our growing academic faculty in Dallas, Texas.
Join a nationally ranked rehabilitation program at UT Southwestern Medical Center, recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the No. 1 hospital in Dallas-Fort Worth for the tenth consecutive year. We welcome candidates interested in either inpatient or outpatient physiatry. We are also particularly interested in physicians who would like to develop or expand a clinical focus in spasticity management or the care of adults with cerebral palsy. About the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation With more than 45 clinical faculty, 4+ research faculty, 10 practice locations, and 4 inpatient rehabilitation facilities, our faculty provide comprehensive rehabilitation care across a broad range of settings. Our department is committed to improving function, independence, and quality of life through excellence in patient care, education, and research. We provide services at facilities across UT Southwestern Medical Center campuses, including UT Southwestern University Hospitals, Parkland Memorial Hospital, Children's Health, Scottish Rite for Children, the VA North Texas Health Care System, and affiliated locations throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Parkland Memorial Hospital serves as a primary teaching hospital for UT Southwestern and is a cornerstone of our academic mission. Our longstanding partnership provides an outstanding setting for clinical education, resident training, and the care of patients with a wide range of rehabilitation needs. The Department is also part of the Peter O'Donnell Jr. Brain Institute, providing opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration. Faculty Opportunities Include:- Inpatient or outpatient General PM&R practice
- Opportunities to develop a clinical focus in spasticity management or adult cerebral palsy
- Teaching and mentorship of PM&R residents and medical students
- Collaboration with colleagues across PM&R and other specialties
- Participation in clinical research, quality improvement, and educational initiatives

- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree or foreign equivalent
- ABPMR Board certified/eligible
- Eligible for Texas medical licensure and its acquisition prior to the start of employment
- Commitment to providing excellence, patient-centered rehabilitation care
