Shipping And Receiving AssociateLocation: Kentwood, MIHours: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday, may be occasional weekends requiredPay: $17 per hourJob Description:We are currently seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Shipping and Receiving Associate. The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency in warehouse operations.Responsibilities:Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders.Unload trucks and inspect received goods for damages or discrepancies.Prepare outgoing shipments by packaging items securely and accurately.Load trucks and arrange shipments for optimal transportation.Maintain organized inventory storage areas and ensure proper labeling.Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.Assist with inventory counts and reconciliations as needed.Follow established procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow.Requirements:Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.Ability to pass a background check and drug test.Ability to work evening hours from 2:00 PM to 12:00 AM.Willingness to attend a forklift certification class during daytime hours for a duration of 3 hours (paid class).Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items regularly.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Benefits:Competitive hourly wage of $17 per hour.Opportunities for advancement and career growth within the company.Comprehensive training and ongoing support.If you meet the above qualifications and are interested in joining our team, please submit your resume.
