About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – ICU (12-Hour Days)

Contract | Full-Time | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting managing diagnoses including respiratory failure, sepsis, DKA, GI bleeds, CVAs, and complex post-operative patients
• Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, ventilator management, and invasive line management
• Manage trachs, ostomies, and general drains; support higher-level therapies including CRRT, hypothermia protocol, and prone positioning as applicable
• Utilize EPIC EMR for all clinical documentation; operate Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed for partial shifts
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and provide patient teaching and education throughout the care continuum

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or compact equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required; experience with Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis preferred
• Telemetry competency required prior to or at start of assignment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT, manual or rotoprone positioning, and hypothermia protocols
• Background working in a Level III Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care environment
• Familiarity with IV medication titration (e.g., Amiodarone, Cardizem, dopamine, heparin, insulin)
