Nurse Aide I

Hendrick Medical Center

Hospice Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs); or Hospice AidesHospice Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs); or Hospice Aides; provide personal care; and assist with activities of daily living for patients in end of life care. CNAs function under the direction; instruction; and supervision of the Registered Nurse.Job RequirementsMinimum EducationMinimum Work ExperienceNo previous experienceRequired Licenses/CertificationsCurrent Nurse Aide CertificationCurrent HeartSaver CPR CertificationCurrent Driver's LicenseRequired Skills; Knowledge; and AbilitiesAbility to carry out obligations and duties of positionAccountable for the regulatory requirements; functions; and duties of the Hospice AideDeals effectively with community/consumersDemonstrated advocate of quality and cost effective careUnderstand the physical; psychosocial; and spiritual concerns/problems of terminally ill patients and familiesMust be knowledgeable of quality and performance improvement activitiesProven written and editing skillsStrong computer skillsRequires ability to handle confidential informationExcellent human relations and oral/written communication skillsDemonstrates interpersonal skillsDesignated DriverNoA current Driver License must be on file if the CNA floats to Homecare HospiceOSHA Category1 - High Risk
