We’re looking for a driven and strategic Buyer to join our Materials team—someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and knows how to balance cost, quality, and delivery with strong supplier partnerships. This is an onsite role in our Lawrenceville, GA facility. Responsibilities: Manage and prioritize daily procurement activities across multiple commodities Create, place, and manage purchase orders aligned with MRP and production demands Source and onboard new vendors, including qualification, certifications, and onboarding documentation Negotiate pricing and contracts to achieve cost savings while minimizing risk Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality and contract requirements Lead resolution efforts for pricing, delivery, and quality issues—escalating when needed Partner with internal teams as a trusted advisor on supply chain and procurement matters Conduct supplier business reviews and drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery Analyze inventory and support reduction of excess and obsolete materials Qualifications: We’re looking for someone who combines strong analytical thinking with relationship-building skills and a sense of urgency. Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in production buying (electronics or high-tech manufacturing preferred) Experience with ERP/MRP systems Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred Proven negotiation and supplier management experience Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Excellent communication and organizational skills Why Join Elma?
