Traveling Journeyman IronworkerPay $28-$32 DOEPer Diem $120/day (work 6, paid 7)Position OverviewWe are seeking two experienced traveling journeyman ironworkers to join our team. These roles will initially be based at our Sinking Spring (SS) fabrication facility supporting an active project for 6-8 weeks, with the expectation to transition into traveling field assignments nationwide.This position involves structural steel erection, connecting, welding, rigging, and fabrication support. Candidates must be safety-focused, dependable, and capable of working in both shop and field environments.ResponsibilitiesSafely erect, connect, and install structural steel and metal componentsPerform bolt-up, plumbing, aligning, and decking as requiredExecute structural and miscellaneous welding as needed (SMAW/FCAW preferred)Perform rigging, signaling, and hoisting operations safelyRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specificationsAssist with fabrication and material handling while assigned to the shop projectWork at heights and in physically demanding environments while maintaining safety standardsCollaborate with crew members and leadership to meet production and project schedulesQualificationsMinimum of 5 years' experience as an ironworker (structural steel preferred)Experience with connecting, rigging, bolt-up, and structural erectionWelding experience (stick and/or flux core) strongly preferredAbility and willingness to travel for extended durations after initial shop assignmentOSHA 10 or 30 preferredAbility to work overtime and 50–70+ hour weeks as project demands requirePhysical Requirements & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift up to 75 lbs., climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work at heightsMust be able to walk and work on uneven surfaces and steel structuresWork is performed both indoors (shop) and outdoors in all weather conditionsExposure to noise, dust, and heavy equipmentMust be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environmentTravelInitial assignment at Sinking Spring (SS) fabrication shopTravel required (up to 75%+) following completion of shop-based project workPosition may include nights, weekends, and overtimeThis job description is subject to change based on the needs of the business and is not all-inclusive.JGM is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
