The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in the budgeting, forecasting, and corporate finance efforts of the team. This position involves developing and maintaining complex financial models to support strategic planning and credit management, delivering insightful reports, and communicating findings directly to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Excel, VBA, and specialized financial software such as Enverus and SpotFire to enhance data analysis and visualization.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Conduct budget analysis and variance reporting.
• Perform complex financial analysis supporting the company's financial forecast, annual budget process, long-range planning activities, and management of credit facilities..
• Analyze reserve reports, production trends, drilling activity, and basin developments to support production forecasts, budgets, and other financial analysis.
• Prepare detailed financial reports for executive leadership
• Support credit management initiatives
• Collaborate with corporate finance to align financial planning with business goals
• Utilize Excel, VBA, Enverus, and SpotFire for data analysis and visualization

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
• At least three to five (3 to 5) years of relevant work experience within one of the following areas: corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting in the oil&gas arena.
• Mastery of Excel, including detailed financial models.
• Ability to model complex scenarios with little guidance.
• Precise computation & analytical skills.
• Working knowledge of the oil and gas industry, strongly preferred.
• Oil&Gas Experience required.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis
