Principal Architect Step into the role of a Principal Architect at JPMorganChase and become a driving force behind the development and adoption of cutting-edge, cloud-based technologies. As a Principal Architect at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes. Job responsibilities Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies Applies enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate architecture analysis, roadmap development, and design decisioning, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data. Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert Establishes reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns and governance across SDLC/toolchain practices, ensuring traceability/auditability, resiliency, and security controls. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 10+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Expertise in one or more programming language(s) Deep knowledge of software, applications, and architecture, including advanced software architecture, application development, and technical processes within one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Demonstrated experience applying enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment in architecture and engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity. Ability to evaluate and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into scalable platforms while meeting resiliency, security, and auditability requirements. Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems in one or more technical disciplines Experience leading a product as a product owner or product manager Ability to present and effectively communicate to senior leaders and executives Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience with enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices Experience with microservices and containerization Experience mentoring and developing technical talent Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions Excellent communication and presentation skills About Us Chase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America's households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
