Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – School-Based | Summer School & 2026–2027 School Year

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support students in school-based settings throughout the Montebello area during summer school, with opportunities to continue into the 2026–2027 school year.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students succeed in the educational environment while enjoying a consistent Monday–Friday schedule aligned with the school calendar.

- Summer School Assignment with continuation into the 2026–2027 school year

Responsibilities:

- Assist students with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, feeding, mobility, and personal hygiene

- Provide one-on-one and classroom support as directed by school staff

- Monitor and report changes in student condition or behavior

- Assist with transfers and mobility needs

- Support student participation in classroom and school activities

- Maintain accurate documentation as required

- Collaborate with teachers, school nurses, therapists, and other educational staff

- Follow all district, state, and Amergis policies and procedures

Qualifications:

- Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)

- Previous experience working in the school setting is preferred

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

- Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings
