Commercial Roofing Estimator
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Roofing Estimator to provide accurate labor and material estimates for a variety of commercial roofing projects. This role combines office-based planning with on-site evaluations, requiring strong technical knowledge and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate estimates from bid documents or sales take-offs.
- Collaborate with sales personnel, office staff, subcontractors, and project managers to review scope, submittals, schedules, and contracts.
- Attend pre-construction meetings and assist in pre-job planning.
- Create equipment lists, schedule deliveries, and coordinate materials with the project manager.
- Maintain accurate records and perform additional tasks assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing estimating experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all commercial roof systems, from new construction to re-roofs.
- Skilled in reading and taking off drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Adobe; experience with estimating software (EDGE preferred).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements:
- Understanding of roofing practices, techniques, codes, and regulations.
- Must comply with OSHA guidelines and SOPs.
- Must pass mandatory/random drug tests.
- Clean driver's license required.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift up to 50 lbs.
