Function Description

We are looking for an experienced Offshore Scaffolding Supervisor to join offshore projects in the USA. This role involves overseeing scaffold construction, modification, inspection, and dismantling activities while ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project requirements, and industry standards. The successful candidate will lead scaffold crews, coordinate daily operations, and promote a strong safety culture in offshore oil & gas environments.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Supervise scaffold erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling activities offshore
• Lead and coordinate scaffold crews to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Verify compliance with scaffold designs, project specifications, and industry standards
• Conduct scaffold inspections and identify corrective actions when required
• Ensure proper use of scaffolding tools, equipment, and materials
• Plan daily activities and allocate resources to meet project schedules
• Complete and review reports, timesheets, and work documentation
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, permits, and HSE requirements
• Lead emergency response activities related to scaffolding operations when required
• Maintain clear communication with project managers, supervisors, and offshore teams
• Monitor scaffold materials, inventory levels, and equipment condition onboard
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times

Requirements

Requirements:

• Scaffolding Supervisor certification (CISRS Advanced Scaffolder / Supervisor, OPITO, or equivalent) - mandatory
• Minimum 5 years of offshore scaffolding experience
• Proven experience in supervising scaffolding crews on offshore construction, maintenance, and turnaround projects
• Strong knowledge of scaffolding inspection, safety standards, and load calculations
• Experience planning, coordinating, and overseeing offshore scaffolding activities

Technical Knowledge:

• Scaffold erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling procedures
• Scaffold design concepts, load-bearing requirements, and structural stability
• Interpretation of scaffold drawings, engineering plans, and work permits
• Offshore safety regulations, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems
• Leadership and coordination of multidisciplinary work crews

Certifications and Documents:

• Valid Seaman's Book
• Offshore safety certifications (e.g., BOSIET / T-BOSIET, RIGPASS, CBSP )
• Work at Heights & Confined Space certifications
• OGUK Medical Fitness Certificate
• Valid passport
• CISRS Advanced Scaffolder / Scaffold Supervisor certification (preferred)
• Additional HSE or supervisory certifications are an advantage
• US Visa
