Become a Lineworker

Pike Corporation is seeking eligible participants for our DoD SkillBridge and Army Career Skills Program (CSP) Lineworker Training Program. This hands-on training opportunity provides experience working alongside utility construction crews while developing the skills necessary for a long-term career in the electric utility industry.

What You'll Learn

• Utility construction and maintenance practices
• Overhead and underground distribution systems
• Transmission and substation construction support
• Industry safety procedures and standards
• Storm restoration and emergency response operations
• Team-based field operations

Ideal Backgrounds

Experience in any of the following areas is helpful but not required:

• Construction
• Engineering
• Maintenance
• Utilities
• Heavy equipment operation
• Commercial driving
• Mechanical or electrical systems
• Field operations

Military occupational specialties, technical training, certifications, and civilian experience may all provide transferable skills.

Physical Requirements

This position involves outdoor work in varying weather conditions and requires the ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks in a utility construction environment.
