We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer to join our enterprise applications team in US. This role combines hands-on Salesforce engineering with technical leadership, delivery ownership, production support, and people-management responsibilities within AssetMark's growing Technology team.

As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will design, build, enhance, maintain, and support scalable and secure Salesforce capabilities that enable AssetMark's wealth management platform and business operations. You will work closely with architects, product managers, administrators, business partners, engineering teams, and other technology stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into high-quality enterprise solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem.

You will take ownership of complex Salesforce initiatives from solution design and development through testing, deployment, production stabilization, ongoing support, and maintenance. You will be expected to proactively identify technical and delivery risks, resolve complex production issues, improve application reliability and maintainability, and contribute to the long-term health of the Salesforce platform.

In addition to being a senior individual contributor, you will serve as a people manager and technical mentor for junior and mid-level Salesforce developers. You will be responsible for their day-to-day work, technical guidance, code and design reviews, delivery quality, coaching, performance feedback, career development, and overall effectiveness.

This role is based in US and follows a hybrid work model. You will collaborate with colleagues across United States and the India, with reasonable working-hour overlap when needed for team ceremonies, planning, production support, release activities and delivery.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows, SOQL, SOSL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and declarative Salesforce development.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, governor limits, bulkification, asynchronous processing, data modeling, transaction management, platform performance, and maintainable enterprise solution design.
• Strong ability to make technical design decisions and assess trade-offs related to scalability, maintainability, performance, security, user experience, and business value.
• Expertise in Salesforce security architecture including Profiles, Roles, Permission Sets, Permission Set Groups, Sharing Rules, Field-Level Security, Organization-Wide Defaults, and secure access-control design.
• Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, platform events, middleware, OAuth, batch processing, asynchronous integrations, and near-real-time integration patterns.
• Experience designing, reviewing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise Salesforce integrations.
• Proficiency with Salesforce reporting, dashboards, CRM Analytics, and business-insight capabilities.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Data Cloud concepts including unified customer profiles, segmentation, activation, identity resolution, and customer 360 use cases.
• Strong understanding of Data Loader, Workbench, Import Wizard, APIs, and enterprise tools used for large-scale Salesforce data operations.
• Advanced working knowledge of Git-based development, metadata management, branching strategies, sandbox strategies, automated testing, static analysis, Salesforce DX, and deployment practices.
• Ability to establish and enforce coding standards, review standards, testing practices, documentation standards, and production-readiness criteria.
• Ability to balance declarative configuration and custom development based on scalability, maintainability, security, performance, and business value.
• Strong code-review and technical-design-review capabilities, with the ability to identify defects, performance risks, security gaps, architectural concerns, and maintainability issues.
• Strong experience supporting business-critical Salesforce applications in enterprise production environments.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex Apex, Flow, LWC, integration, data, security, configuration, and performance issues.
• Understanding of incident, problem, change, release, and application-maintenance practices in an enterprise technology environment.
• Ability to perform structured root-cause analysis and translate production incidents into corrective actions and long-term engineering improvements.
• Experience with operational monitoring, logging, alerting, support documentation, runbooks, and production-readiness standards.
• Understanding of Salesforce seasonal releases, platform maintenance, API deprecations, certificates, connected applications, integration dependencies, and environment health.
• Ability to prioritize production incidents, maintenance work, technical debt, and planned development based on business impact and risk.
• Strong people-management, coaching, mentoring, and team-development skills.
• Ability to delegate effectively while maintaining accountability for overall technical quality and delivery outcomes.
• Ability to provide constructive feedback, manage competing priorities, support individual development plans, and help developers progress in their careers.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, written and verbal communication, stakeholder-management, and cross-functional collaboration skills in a globally distributed agile environment.
• Ability to influence technical decisions and engineering practices across teams.
• Experience in wealth management, asset management, financial technology, or a related financial-services domain is a plus.

Qualifications & Experience

• 7–10 years of professional Salesforce development experience in enterprise production environments, with ownership of complex implementations and business-critical applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows, integrations, data migration, security, automated testing, production support, and application maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience providing technical leadership, including solution design, code reviews, mentoring, delivery oversight, and engineering quality management.
• Experience managing or leading junior and mid-level developers, with responsibility for work allocation, coaching, performance feedback, and delivery quality.
• Practical experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud is strongly preferred; exposure to Data Cloud and customer 360 capabilities is advantageous.
• Experience with Salesforce DevOps and CI/CD, including Git-based development and tools such as Copado, Flosum, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Strong experience with production support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, defect management, platform maintenance, and technical-debt remediation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I & Developer II certifications are strongly preferred; Salesforce Architect, Salesforce Agentforce Specialist and other relevant Salesforce certifications are advantageous.
• Experience working with sensitive or regulated financial data is required; wealth management, asset management, fintech, or related financial-services experience is a plus.
