Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights, rotating Employment Type: Travel Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) Job Details: Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients. Monitor cardiac rhythms and assess patients’ conditions. Administer medications and treatments and document patient progress. Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide safe, effective patient care. May care for patients on ventilators. May float to other units, including J1-2, J33, and the ED, to care for the same patient population. Requirements: Minimum 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty. Active Ohio RN license or compact state license required in hand. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required through AHA or American Red Cross. ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment completed during orientation, with acceptable scores required on both.
