Maintenance Assistant

Join our team at Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center!

Buckingham Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a long-term care and rehabilitation center in Newtown, PA, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Assistant to join our team! As a Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility by performing various maintenance and repair tasks.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our facility, including but not limited to: preventative building maintenance services, painting, plumbing, and groundskeeping
Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
Demonstrate flexibility in order to meet the needs of our residents and willingness to learn new skills
Support the team by working in a cohesive team-oriented manner and multi-tasking as needed
Provide attention to detail in all aspects of work
Utilize basic knowledge of HVAC systems
Problem-solve in a manner that benefits the care being provided to our residents

Requirements:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to be flexible and learn new skills
Ability to support the team by working in a cohesive team-oriented manner and multi-tasking as needed
Basic knowledge of preventative building maintenance services, painting, plumbing, and groundskeeping
Knowledge of HVAC helpful
Ability to problem-solve in a manner that benefits the care being provided to our residents

We offer two shifts:

7a-3p or 10a-6p, Weekend Availability
