Software Engineer I

Software Engineer position supporting the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software for advanced medical diagnostic instrumentation. Collaborates across cross-functional teams to translate requirements into robust, well-documented software solutions throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support software components and subsystems for diagnostic instrumentation
Establish software requirements, design specifications, and test plans for product verification and validation
Implement new functionality and enhancements; troubleshoot and resolve software defects
Develop and maintain automated unit tests; participate in design and code reviews
Document designs and test results; communicate progress and risks to team members

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical discipline
Demonstrated proficiency in object-oriented programming through academic or professional projects
Experience developing software in C#, C++, Java, Python, or similar object-oriented language
Understanding of software engineering fundamentals including design, data structures, algorithms, debugging, unit testing
Previous internship, co-op, research, or project experience with software development
Familiarity with source control systems such as Git
