Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 9 years of experience in marketing. Experience executing cross-functional projects and building partnerships with product and engineering teams. Experience working in the developer ecosystem. Experience with inbound/outbound marketing for developer products. Preferred qualifications Passion for the developer community and understanding of builder motivations. Deep familiarity with AI tools and generative AI workflows. Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders across multiple business units. Technical fluency with the ability to write & review code samples, technical documentation, and complex product requirements to create developer-focused content. Proven track record in technical marketing, Developer Relations (DevRel), or technical advocacy, and ability to produce compelling product narratives and technical content for various formats (demos, video, social, blogs). About The Job Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (Google Ads, AdSense, Google Marketing Platform, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Developer Technical Content, you will drive the strategic execution for how we educate and inspire the global builder community through high-quality, technical content. You will be at the forefront of the dramatic shift in how software is built and distributed, particularly in the era of AI. We are looking for a technical expert who can bridge the gap between product engineering and the builder community. You don't just execute the content coming out of product marketing organization; you craft narratives that resonate with skeptical technical audiences, prioritizing technical utility and trust over traditional marketing. You will act as a subject matter expert to define content strategy, craft compelling messaging, and create assets that help developers succeed with Google Cloud and AI products. Know the user. Drive Technical Storytelling: Lead the creation of innovative technical demos, tutorials, and 'Hello World' experiences that help builders overcome adoption blockers. Execute Global Content Strategy: Implement end-to-end technical content and go-to-market strategies for builders, ensuring a cohesive and high-impact presence. Advocate for Builders: Influence product roadmaps by acting as a trusted partner to Engineering and Product teams, using feedback and technical expertise.
