Work Environment

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Rockwell Psychotherapy, you will work in a remote outpatient office that fosters flexibility and work-life balance. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential flexibility in scheduling to accommodate patient needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' backgrounds, trauma histories, and individual needs, identifying the most appropriate treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and coping strategies, using evidence-based interventions.
• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
• Provide support in crisis situations, offering immediate intervention and guidance to patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, informing them of available resources to support their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in regular team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training to enhance skills in trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy to continually refine and improve treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on vulnerable populations affected by trauma, including survivors of abuse, violence, and other distressing life events. You will engage clients at varying stages of their healing process, tailoring interventions to meet their unique needs and helping them regain a sense of safety, empowerment, and stability in their lives.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state of Arizona.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, ideally in settings focused on trauma-informed care.
• Strong knowledge and application of trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities, especially resilience-building approaches.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations, providing effective support to clients in crisis.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications is necessary for accurate documentation and communication.
• A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience delivering diverse trauma-focused therapies and interventions, particularly those tailored to specific populations (e.g., veterans, children, survivors of domestic violence).
• Familiarity with integrative treatment approaches, including holistic and mindfulness-based techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
