Assistant Principal Description:
Serve as the operational leader for instructional quality, curriculum implementation, staff performance, discipline, and day-to-day HR functions. Support the Principal/Executive Director in ensuring academic success, personnel effectiveness, and a positive school culture. Requirements:
INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP
- Support implementation of academic goals and school improvement initiatives.
- Conduct classroom walkthroughs and teacher observations.
- Monitor instructional rigor and student achievement.
- Coordinate intervention planning and MTSS/RTI supports.
- Lead data meetings and support teacher development. CURRICULUM & ASSESSMENT OVERSIGHT
- Coordinate curriculum alignment across grades 6-8.
- Ensure standards alignment and pacing fidelity.
- Oversee instructional resources and curriculum mapping.
- Lead assessment calendar planning and data analysis.
- Support instructional coaching and differentiated instruction. HUMAN RESOURCES RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with teacher recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
- Coordinate interview scheduling and hiring support.
- Track certification compliance and personnel documentation.
- Support evaluations and performance improvement plans.
- Coordinate substitute coverage and staff compliance training.
- Assist with employee relations and conflict resolution. STUDENT DISCIPLINE & SCHOOL CULTURE
- Lead student discipline systems and restorative practices.
- Coordinate parent conferences and behavior interventions.
- Maintain discipline documentation and reporting.
- Support supervision systems and school-wide culture initiatives. ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES OVERSIGHT
- Support supervision of athletics and extracurricular activities.
- Coordinate student eligibility and participation standards. REPORTS TO
