Accounting Manager

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) FLSA Status: Full-Time, Exempt Location: Onsite – Grandview, MO Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and support the financial health of our organization. This role is responsible for overseeing daily accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial insights that support strategic business decisions. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical accounting expertise, a commitment to continuous improvement, and the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports. Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness. Monitor cash flow and perform bank account reconciliations. Accounting Operations Supervise and support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting functions. Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for internal and external reporting purposes. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements. Prepare and review tax filings and supporting schedules. Planning & Analysis Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
