Estimating Assistant


Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday - Friday | Pay: Starting at $19.00/hour


Express is looking for a reliable, organized, and personable Estimating Assistant for one of our great clients. This position will provide administrative support to the estimating team and assist with organizing bids, communicating with vendors, and maintaining accurate project documentation.


The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong communication and people skills, and be comfortable handling frequent phone calls and communicating professionally with vendors, contractors, and customers.


The role will include:

• Send out quotes to customers and clients
• Organize and maintain bid packages
• Scan bids and create and maintain project folders
• File and organize project documentation
• Send plans and materials needed to vendors for quotes
• Maintain accurate bid logs
• Follow up with vendors regarding quotes and pricing
• Assist estimators with gathering pricing and project information
• Communicate with vendors, contractors, customers, and internal team members
• Answer and make phone calls professionally
• Assist with general administrative duties as needed

Ideal candidates will have previous experience as an Estimating Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or similar role within a construction, electrical, or skilled trades company.

Requirements:

• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable communicating over the phone
• Strong people and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent follow-up skills
• Basic knowledge of construction materials
• Understanding of the bidding process preferred
• Previous construction or electrical office experience highly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation
• High School Diploma/GED
• Background check / pass drug screen
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

8:00AM - 5:00PM
