• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM
• Saturday: 6:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Phlebotomist I to join our team in Palm Bay, FL. The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) serves as the face of the organization, interacting directly with patients and ensuring a positive healthcare experience. This role is responsible for performing specimen collection, processing laboratory samples, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to established procedures and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong phlebotomy skills, excellent patient interaction abilities, and the capability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform blood specimen collection accurately and safely using established phlebotomy techniques.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing following standard operating procedures.
• Collect both clinical and forensic specimens while maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Ensure patient identification and specimen labeling accuracy.
• Explain collection procedures to patients, creating an environment of trust and confidence.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Complete required documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a commitment to quality service.
• Support process excellence initiatives while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the general public.
• Perform daily activities accurately and within established timelines under the direction of the area supervisor.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 6 months of phlebotomy experience required.
• Strong data entry and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience drawing blood from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of phlebotomy experience.
• Medical Assistant, Paramedic, or related medical training.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington).
• Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment.
