Deli Associate

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a friendly and professional Deli Associate to join our team. The Deli Associate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, stocking and pricing deli/bakery products, taking orders, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Deli Associate Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet customers and answer questions regarding deli products
• Prepare deli sandwiches according to customer requests
• Stock shelves with deli & bakery products
• Price and label deli/bakery products
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Ensure that all deli products are stored and handled in accordance with food safety guidelines
• Provide excellent customer service
• Learn some baking skills to help out during slower moments of shift

Deli Associate Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous deli or food service experience is preferred
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to stand for extended periods of time

REQUIREMENTS

• Provide friendly, fast service to customers in the deli area with a positive attitude
• Prepare and present deli items according to established brand recipes and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of deli equipment, workstations, and storage areas
• Follow food safety guidelines, including proper temperature control and safe handling practices
• Stock and rotate deli products to ensure freshness and minimize waste
• Accurately label and date items in accordance with company procedures
• Operate deli equipment as needed, including slicers, grinders, and hot holding units
• Assist with inventory counts and replenishing supplies for the deli department
• Adhere to all Cooperative Energy policies and procedures, including attendance and safety expectations
• Support teamwork by helping with other store tasks when needed
