The role of a Starbucks Barista can provide you with the skills and experiences of:Providing a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks food quality and freshness managementState and federal food safety and OSHA guidelinesAs a Starbucks Barista, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments:Greet: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interactionHelp guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experienceEnd every guest transaction with a sincere thank youActively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitudeAdjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experienceDeliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations, prioritizing the guest's needs over task.Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.Execute food and beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product.Always be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks.Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety.Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift.Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.Produce handcrafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature sensitive food items, as outlined in best practice.Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices.Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practices.Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices.Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory.Execute sampling best practices.Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.All other duties based on business needsWhat We Are Looking ForThis may be the right job for you if:You enjoy interacting and helping others - including guests that shop our store and fellow team members you work with.You thrive in a fast-moving, highly active and physically demanding role, where teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are key to success.You are open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays and other peak shopping times).The good news is that we have some amazing training that will help teach you everything you need to know to be a Starbucks Barista.
