Registered Nurse - Pre, PACU, and Phase II

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with strong experience in Pre-operative, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and Phase II care. The ideal candidate will be available to start as soon as possible and will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care across various outpatient service areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the outpatient services area including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, and Pre-operative Clinic.
• Float to different units as required, responding to hospital needs for conscious sedation during special procedures.
• Utilize nursing assessment skills to educate patients on peri-operative care and recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.

Schedule

This position follows a 4 - 10 hour shift schedule, with variable hours and participation in a shared on-call rotation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Experience in Pre-operative and PACU nursing essential.
• Strong nursing assessment skills and ability to educate patients effectively.
