Target Security Specialist

Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial: $17.50 USD per hour Job Overview As a Target Security Specialist, you will protect guests, teammates, and brand assets by preventing, investigating, and resolving theft and fraud while supporting sales and creating a safe environment in the store. Responsibilities Welcome and engage guests and team members at the sales floor and front of store. Maintain a safe and secure environment, conducting threat assessments and using escalation tools. Respond to and document security incidents accurately. Perform receipt checks and monitor high‑dollar merchandise to prevent shortages. Utilize surveillance systems and case management tools to investigate incidents. Conduct merchandise recoveries and provide apprehension support as needed. Train teammates on merchandise protection, audit execution, and shortage strategies. Execute shortage action plans and maintain store cleanliness. Provide a service‑oriented shopping experience that meets guest needs. Model ethical conduct, safety, and compliance standards. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age 18. State or local licensure or other legal requirements met. Ability to climb ladders, lift up to 40 pounds, and work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Independent work and task prioritization. Positive, welcoming attitude toward guests and teammates. Tech‑savvy and able to adapt to current technology needs.
