Product Management Director

In this strategic leadership role, you will define and execute the global product vision and portfolio strategy for Branson's advanced joining and precision cleaning technologies. Reporting to the Vice President, Strategic Business Unit, you will lead the full product lifecycle, from market insight and portfolio strategy to new product development, pricing, commercialization, and product lifecycle optimization. Working closely with global teams across Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and regional organizations, you will play a key role in driving innovation, profitable growth, and long-term business success.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Define and execute a global product portfolio strategy aligned with business objectives, growth priorities, and market opportunities.
• Develop and maintain short-, mid-, and long-term product roadmaps informed by customer insights, market trends, emerging technologies, and business performance.
• Build and manage a complementary product portfolio that supports global and regional growth while minimizing internal overlap.
• Lead product lifecycle management activities, including product introductions, enhancements, portfolio rationalization, and end-of-life planning.
• Evaluate buy, build, and partner opportunities through strategic, commercial, and financial analysis.
• Monitor portfolio performance, including orders, revenue, profitability, pricing, and product mix, and drive actions that improve business results.
• Develop business cases and investment recommendations for new product development initiatives, including return on investment and financial impact analysis.
• Own global pricing strategies and partner with regional teams to drive pricing execution, profitability, and value-based selling.
• Lead product management activities within new product development programs, including business case development, requirements definition, and cross-functional alignment.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure successful product launches and commercialization efforts.
• Lead market intelligence initiatives, including competitive analysis, market segmentation, customer research, voice-of-customer programs, and win/loss evaluations.
• Translate market trends, customer needs, and industry developments into actionable product strategies and portfolio investments.
• Support global go-to-market strategies through product positioning, sales enablement, customer engagement, and marketing collaboration.
• Develop, coach, and lead a geographically distributed team of product management professionals.
• Establish product management best practices, governance processes, and portfolio review frameworks that promote continuous improvement and business excellence.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Significant experience in product management, product marketing, business development, or a related commercial leadership role within an industrial business environment.
• Experience leading product management teams in a global or multi-regional setting.
• Demonstrated success managing complex product portfolios throughout the product lifecycle, including product launches, optimization, and retirement planning.
• Experience developing and executing product strategies that drive growth, profitability, and customer value.
• Strong financial acumen with experience developing business cases, evaluating investments, and supporting portfolio decision-making.
• Experience collaborating effectively with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Marketing teams.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

• MBA or advanced degree in a related discipline.
• Experience with advanced joining technologies, ultrasonic welding, vibration welding, precision cleaning systems, plastics joining, automation technologies, or related industrial markets.
• Experience developing and executing global pricing and profitability strategies.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management, stage-gate methodologies, and new product development processes.
• Experience conducting market analysis, competitive intelligence, and voice-of-customer research.
• Proficiency with CRM, ERP, PLM, or related business systems.
• Proficiency in an additional language such as German, Mandarin, or Spanish.
• Experience serving automotive, medical, electronics, consumer goods, or industrial manufacturing markets.
